Kinder Drop-off Information for Term 3
Preschool- We will need to continue to
have staggered starts continue for Term 3. If you have a
request for specific time different to your existing time,
please let us know.
The most important thing is the social distancing which families
have been doing well. Children have been amazing and seem to be
enjoying the change and rising to the challenge of unpacking bags
and they engage straight into play.
Extended Hours timetabling will resume on a Monday/ Tuesday and
Thursday til 4.15pm. You are most welcome to book in and we will
invoice for the term as per usual but you may pay monthly.
3 Year Old- We will begin at 9.15am and
finish at 1.15pm as per normal timetable and because there is a
smaller start, we just ask families socially distance and follow
the painted spots or symbols. It the rain has washed them away on
the day, it is roughly the breaks in the concrete path.
New children starting will be supported by teachers and we ask
families to speak with teachers to find the most suitable plan.
It is strange times, but children are showing us how flexible
humans can be. We will keep you up to date with any additional
information from the Department of Education and Training as it is
received.
Term Fees
Term fees will go back to normal but may be reduced if we continue
to attract jobkeeper or are successful in applying the Victorian
Education Department grants for fee reduction. We cannot seek the
fee reduction grant while we have jobkeeper and may be able to match
the grant reduction once we have all information required for
budgeting. If jobkeeper ceases for Kindergartens, we will then
apply for the DET grant. In short, watch this space and we will let
you know as soon as we can.
Unwell Children
In line with the advice from the Department of Education and
Training (DET), we are including the following information direct
from the latest update received yesterday.
Information for parents/carers
One of the most important things that can be done to slow the spread
of coronavirus (COVID-19) in ECEC settings is to ensure that unwell
children and staff remain at home.
Below is a message we encourage you to share with parents/carers:
_ _ _
Please keep your child home if they are displaying any of the
following symptoms:
- Fever
- Chills or sweats
- Cough
- Sore throat
- Shortness of breath
- Runny nose
- Loss of sense of smell or taste
In
certain circumstances headache, muscle soreness, stuffy nose,
nausea, vomiting and diarrhea may also be considered.
If your child is displaying any of the symptoms of coronavirus
(COVID-19), however mild, they should get tested. Seek advice from
a healthcare professional who can advise on next steps. You can
phone the coronavirus (COVID-19) hotline on 1800 675 398 for help
and advice.
A medical certificate is not required for your child to return to
our setting after a period of illness, however children should not
return until they no longer have symptoms.
Please feel free to
contact us over the holiday break on diamond.creek.memorial.kin@kindergarten.vic.gov.au
or 0447 099 055. .
